✦A little time for you

A new chapter after retirement

Your time.
Your interests.
Your people.
At last.

That first painting. That favourite song. The friendships you haven't made yet. Make room for them, with a small circle that meets again.

01 A POSTPONED INTEREST

There is still
time to begin.

You spent years making time for everyone else. Choose something you always wanted to try, at a pace that feels right.

A LITTLE CURIOSITY

“I always wanted
to paint.”

That is a wonderful place to start.

YOUR FIRST FOUR WEEKS

A circle that feels
like you.

One interest. The same small group. A shared creation to be proud of.

Class demonstration with sample programmes and schedules. No real seat is reserved and no money is charged.

SMALL STEPS, SOMETHING MEANINGFUL

Four Saturdays.
A gallery of memories.

Here is how our example painting circle unfolds. No experience needed.

1
WEEK ONE

A favourite corner

A simple sketch, a gentle introduction. Start with what feels familiar.

2
WEEK TWO

A memory in colour

A place, a person, a moment. Let the story guide the painting.

3
WEEK THREE

A little encouragement

Share your work and offer kind, useful feedback to someone in your circle.

4
WEEK FOUR

Our gallery, together

Celebrate what you made. Reflect on the experience. Choose what comes next.

TRY THE EXPERIENCE

A little space
of your own.

Explore a circle above, join using sample details, then add a contribution here.

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO CARE

A thoughtful invitation.
A choice that stays theirs.

They made time for your interests. You can help them make time for theirs.

Ask what they would love to try. Explore a circle together. Offer to sponsor it after the orientation. Let them decide.

A MANAGEABLE FIRST COMMITMENT

Make room
for four good weeks.

PROPOSED LAUNCH PRICE

₹1,299/ person

For the whole four-week circle.
About ₹325 per hosted session.

We plan to start with at least six confirmed paid participants. The free orientation helps you decide if the circle fits.

Choose a circle

A small circle. A clear plan.

  • Four weekly, one-hour online group sessions
  • The same 6–8 participants
  • A prepared facilitator
  • One shared digital creation
  • Basic setup support

Bring your own simple materials, device and internet. Individual tuition is outside this package. Pricing is a hypothesis for the pilot, not a live offer. The demo takes no payments.

WHY THIS MATTERS

More time should mean
more possibilities.

Retirement can change routines and everyday contact. Research gives us a reason to explore the problem, while parents tell us what would actually help.

347m

India's older population

Projected population aged 60+ in 2050, compared with 149 million in 2022.

People in one circle

Our proposed format for familiar faces, reciprocal attention and a manageable group.

Product hypothesis, awaiting pilot evidence

Loneliness, social isolation and living alone are different concepts. Age alone does not establish loneliness. Population figures do not establish demand for this product. This is not a clinical service.

ANOTHER CHAPTER, WHEN YOU WANT IT

Learn something.
Maybe teach it someday.

Your experience still matters. A willing member might later share a skill through teaching or mentoring.

For now, we focus on learning and sharing. Paid opportunities need both willing members and paying learners. No jobs or earnings are promised, and a hobby never has to become work.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few things
you might wonder.

Do I need to know how to paint, garden or sing?

No. The sample programmes are designed for beginners. The orientation would help you check the pace, language and activity before joining.

Can I help my parent join?

Yes, you can explore together and offer to sponsor the programme. Your parent chooses whether to participate. Paying does not grant access to their private contributions.

Is this a real booking website?

This is a working class demonstration. Circle schedules and members are sample data. Joining only saves a demo choice in this browser. We do not collect payments, reserve seats or run video sessions here.

What happens after four weeks?

A real pilot would invite participants to reflect and choose whether to continue. Renewal is optional. The demo does not create a subscription.

Where does my demo data go?

Your sample name, chosen circle, contributions and sharing preference stay in this browser's local storage when available. They are not sent to our server. The sample family view uses the same device. You can clear your demo data below.

Can I keep my camera off?

Yes. Camera use and public sharing are optional in the proposed programme. A host would help participants find a comfortable way to contribute.

FOR THE CLASS PRESENTATIONThe thinking behind Second Innings+

A Masters’ Union product management concept exploring loneliness in an increasingly digital world. The prototype demonstrates decisions about choice, continuity and privacy. No completed interviews, paid cohorts or clinical results are claimed.

Our job to be done

When my routine changes, help me restart an interest with people I can get to know.

Discovery and MVP

Plan ten parent and five adult-child interviews. Start with one hobby, one language and two cohorts targeting eight participants each. Use manual coordination before automating.

MoSCoW priorities

Must: clear schedules, parent consent, facilitation and one shared creation. Support with reminders and setup help. Defer the freelance marketplace, public feed and home visits.

Proposed pilot gates

For sixteen starters: ten voluntarily attend at least three sessions, six make a real next-cohort commitment, and no serious trust issue remains unresolved. Report actual counts and revise denominators before a smaller pilot.

Our North Star

Weekly returning participants with reciprocal interaction. Pair attendance with an exchange or acknowledged contribution. AARRR and HEART guide measurement, alongside autonomy, incidents and support burden.

Now and later

First prepare interviews, hosts and policies. Then run and review paid cohorts. Repeat before adding hobbies, languages or optional teaching.

Illustrative cohort economics

₹1,299 per person for four weeks. Planned ₹4,800 delivery and acquisition budget includes paid preparation, coordination, outreach and support. Add a 3% payment allowance and 5% refund reserve. Model net revenue as collections divided by 1.18 for a conservative assumed output-tax scenario, pending actual tax confirmation.

Planning estimates, not observed results
Four-week cohortSix paid seatsEight paid seats
Collections₹7,794₹10,392
Net revenue under tax scenario₹6,605₹8,807
Planned contribution₹1,182₹3,175
Contribution / net revenue17.9%36.1%

Minimum six confirmed paid seats before launch. Contribution excludes central salaries, app development and company overhead. No input-tax credit or fee promotion assumed. Costs and willingness to pay need validation. A 20% overrun on the ₹4,800 budget leaves about ₹222 at six seats.

Existing alternatives

Khyaal and Silver Talkies offer senior communities and activities. Goodfellows offers companionship. WisdomCircle connects experienced talent with work. Free local groups also matter. Our proposed focus is a stable small cohort and a shared creation, rather than a claim to be the cheapest.

Research and references

WHO describes approximately 11.8% loneliness among older adults globally and social isolation in up to one in three. These are separate measures. Course application draws on available PM101 decks, in-class material, execution references and session transcripts 5–7. Resources for sessions 8–9 were not in the reviewed set.
